Engineering Manager (Development)

The Engineering Manager (Development) is responsible for managing the R&D team in India. You will be responsible for delivering high quality, feature-rich products to market. You will also be responsible for discovering, hiring, and mentoring top engineering talent. Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading a team developing SaaS solutions or web applications using the latest web technologies. You must have a passion for a fast paced, startup environment. You must be motivated to make the impossible happen, and make it happen yesterday. Technology must excite you, as well as disciplined and process-oriented product development. You must be comfortable communicating and collaborating with US-based teams.
This position is based in Pune and reports to the Director of Engineering for Resilinc’s India Center of Excellence.
Manage an R&D team in our Pune-based R&D unit.
Deliver high quality product releases on time.
Have hands-on experience with Agile methodology and running Scrums.
Collaborate with our US based Product Management team to bring to market products that will wow our customers and enable us to enhance our leadership position in the market.
Attract and nurture top engineering talent in order to help build a world class R&D organization.
Provide leadership and guidance within and beyond your team in implementing repeatable process for software development.
Stay ahead of the technology curve. Ensure that your team is continually polishing its technical skills.
9+ years of software engineering experience in web technologies, with the most recent 2+ years in leadership positions managing and leading an R&D development team.
Proven experience in contributing to an engineering organization.
Experience with the Force.com platform highly desired, but not mandatory.
SaaS experience strongly preferred; web application experience required at a minimum.
Experience with Agile development methodology.
Experience with more than one of the following technologies: Force.com, NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB or other, PHP, Ruby on Rails, Java frameworks, RDBMS.
Bachelor’s degree expected (MS preferred).
